Kalee is an ethical womenswear brand created to empower women whilst being completely transparent to our customer, understanding our environmental responsibility and actively working towards being 100% sustainable. 

The word Kalee comes from the sanskrit word for dark skinned or the well known goddess of power, a female icon worshipped by millions around the world. I wanted to choose this name for it’s negative connotations against skin colour as it comes from the Goddess’s name itself, she was known to be dark because her skin was an alternative of the universe within Kalee unfortunately it did not come in favor for dark skin girls and women in India. Taking this negative word and starting a new positive chapter for millions of dark skinned woman around the world to feel there absolute best and honour Kalee’s rightful reputation. 

Sustainable living is HARD! We get that it’s hard which is why we take the moral responsibility to be more socially, politically and environmentally aware for you. Kalee believes every woman is their own superhero in our modern day society and we actively work towards forming a community
of all our superheroes and shine a light on individuals. We aren’t just another eco friendly company, we want to make sustainability feel sexy and glamourous, years of pop culture and fashion has stayed the same but now we Gen Zs have made it our goal to change things up in our industries and so is Kalee.
